AllFocusTM EDF Image Gallery - Screw
Images of ¼-20 3/8" long screw were acquired with Motorized Lift controlled by ZStackTool and Canon Digital Rebel camera controlled by Canon Remote Capture. The lens was Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens with Canon Extension Tube EF12 II. Illumination was provided by Phoenix DRLLED Ring Light. The lens was set to Av=4.0; z-spacing in the stack was 0.3 mm. Z-stack of 28 images was processed with AllFocus V0.95.
Top left image is the Z-stack animation, top right image is the Merged Image produced by AllFocus. Bottom left image is the Height Map as produced by AllFocus with background areas edited to zero. Bottom right image is the Height Map as 3D representation alternating between standard color rendering where color corresponds to height and rendering by the Merged Image. (3D rendering of the Height Map was done in MATLAB)
